Newfoundland offers some of the best black bear hunting in North America, with exceptional bear densities and opportunities to spot and stalk trophy-class bears. Mature boars commonly exceed 300 pounds, with many successful hunters taking bears over 500 pounds.

Both baited spring hunts (May–June) and fall hunts beginning in September are available. After arriving at camp and confirming your rifle or bow is sighted in, you'll spend each day hunting with an experienced guide before returning to comfortable accommodations and home-cooked meals in a first-class wilderness camp.

Black bear hunting is excellent in Newfoundland with the highest density of black bears in North America. The areas that hunted provides great opportunities at spotting black bears and the terrain provides the ability to stalk in close for a shot opportunity. Offering trophy classed animals weighing well above 300lbs, there are many encounters and successful bear hunters connecting on 500lb+ bears.



The Black Bears on the Island of Newfoundland are among the biggest in the world. With little hunting pressure, and abundant food, the bears quickly go from being an add-on tag, to a sought after trophy!



A limited number of baited spring black bear hunts are offered during the months of May and June. The fall bear hunt starts the second week of September allowing hunters to choose the right hunting time for you. 



The hunt generally follows a standard schedule. You will arrive at the Main Camp to begin your hunt. Day one consists of traveling into camp and getting settled. There are places for you to sight in your gun or bow to ensure it wasn’t bumped during travel. Hunts begin on Monday morning, where you will hunt all day with your guide and return to camp each evening for a home-cooked meal. The lodging and amenities are first class in this remote wilderness, offering you all the comforts of home.

The main lodge at this outfitter also serves as host to a full service butcher shop where you can have your meat butchered, packed and frozen to prepare for travel home.

Shipping services are available through Newfoundland Big Game Shipping and is facilitated through the outfitter with many drop-off locations across the Untied States and Canada.
